We recently began working with McGriff Trucking Moving and Storage who recently relocated from West Boylston, MA to Ware, MA. The challenge for them began with making sure customers knew about their relocation. This is how we began their local SEO campaign by ensuring their online information was accurate across all online directories.
Table of Contents
The Local SEO campaign began with pushing accurate information across the 3 major data aggregators; Data Axle, Neustar Localeze, and Foursquare. Between these major data providers, many of the online directories will receive the updated location information for McGriff’s.
Even though data aggregators will share their updates with business listing services, often those updates only happen once a year. In order to propagate the information more quickly, our Listing Sync service will push updates within minutes to dozens of listings like Google Business Profile, Bing Business, Apple Maps, Yelp, and many more.
These directories also add high quality backlinks to the business’ domain. These links help build prominence online, which helps improve the rankings of the business in local search on Google.
Local Keyword Tracking
As part of an effective Local SEO campaign, local keyword tracking both in the search results, and in Google Maps is necessary. We start with non-branded keywords to make sure that consumers can find the business when looking for their core services. Over time, we will expand the radius of the local search, to make sure they are ranking in a larger service area.
Lastly, and most importantly, we updated their website with a modern theme, included their color scheme, and created a cohesive call-to-action. The new website is clean and easy to navigate, reducing any clutter from the navigation, and making it easy to find key information about the business.
